Terms of Service

Last updated: August 22, 2026

1. Agreement overview

These Terms of Service govern your use of NodeLink and the related services we provide through our website, WhatsApp channels, rider application process, and any related support and communication infrastructure. By using our services, you agree to be legally bound by these terms.

2. What NodeLink does

NodeLink operates as an intermediary platform that helps connect senders with riders in local areas across Abuja and Lagos. We do not operate as a traditional courier company and we are not the legal custodian of packages unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.

3. Eligibility and account information

You must provide accurate and complete information when using the platform. If you register as a rider, you are responsible for the truthfulness, accuracy, and completeness of your profile details, service area preferences, and contact information. If you are a sender, you are responsible for providing correct pickup and destination details.

4. Sender responsibilities

Senders must:

  • Provide accurate package and delivery details
  • Share the correct pickup and destination information
  • Use the service only for lawful and appropriate items
  • Communicate clearly with the rider regarding timing, requirements, and handoff arrangements
  • Accept that final delivery timing and execution depend on rider availability and local conditions

5. Rider responsibilities

Riders must:

  • Use their own judgment and safety practices when accepting or completing requests
  • Provide accurate details about their city, service area, availability, and transport capacity
  • Act responsibly, professionally, and lawfully during any delivery transaction
  • Not accept prohibited, dangerous, illegal, or unsafe items
  • Communicate honestly about timing, route, and any issues that may affect the delivery

6. Prohibited items

You may not use NodeLink to send or transport items that are illegal, dangerous, hazardous, prohibited by law, or likely to pose risk to the rider, the public, or the environment. This includes, without limitation, weapons, drugs, controlled substances, stolen property, harmful chemicals, and other restricted or unsafe materials.

7. Fees, payments, and payouts

Any fees, commissions, or payout arrangements must be agreed between the sender and rider, or as otherwise communicated by NodeLink. NodeLink may facilitate communication regarding such arrangements, but we are not a party to most commercial transactions between users unless otherwise stated in writing.

8. No guarantee of service outcome

NodeLink does not guarantee rider availability, delivery time, delivery success, package condition, or final outcome of any request. We aim to improve access to local riders and delivery coordination, but actual execution depends on third-party rider behavior, traffic, route conditions, and user cooperation.

9. Safety and risk

Users must exercise reasonable caution and judgment when arranging pickup, handoff, or final delivery. NodeLink is not responsible for injuries, losses, damages, theft, misdelivery, or disputes that arise from user actions, third-party conduct, or uncontrollable circumstances when reasonable care has been taken.

10. Intellectual property

All content on the NodeLink website, including text, branding, graphics, and design, is protected by intellectual property rights. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse our content without prior written permission.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NodeLink shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of the service, including loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of data, or reputational damage, unless directly caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

12. Disputes and resolution

Any issue between users should be resolved directly and respectfully between the parties involved. If a dispute cannot be settled informally, parties may seek appropriate legal remedies under applicable Nigerian law or other applicable jurisdiction as may be agreed in writing.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service where a user violates these Terms of Service, engages in unlawful conduct, or creates risk for other users, staff, or the platform itself.

14. Changes to the Terms

We may revise these Terms of Service from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated through the website or other relevant channels, and continued use of the service after such change means you accept the updated version.
